Getting started

Your first hour with Apexium — sign up, set up your workspace, and ship your first automation.

Welcome to Apexium. This guide walks you through your first hour: signing up, configuring your workspace, and shipping your first automation. By the end you'll have a working contact pipeline, a published workflow, and a clear picture of where to go next.

Head to /signup. The form collects four things: your full name, email, password, and a workspace name. The workspace name becomes the display name for your team's space inside Apexium; you can change it later from Settings → Workspace.

After you submit, Apexium creates your account, your workspace, and a 14-day trial subscription in one shot. You're signed in immediately — no email-verification round-trip. You land on /launchpad, the setup checklist.

If you bought the Lead Harvester extension previously, your existing Apexium account doubles as your Apexium platform account — the two products share one login.

The setup checklist (/launchpad)

The launchpad is an 8-item checklist that walks you through configuring everything a typical workflow needs. Five items are required; one is optional; two will unlock as future features ship.

Required items

1. Connect a sending channel. Customize the FROM email identity your outbound emails will use. The default is noreply@mail.apexium.team (sent via Resend); the recommended setup is to use your own brand identity (e.g. hello@acme.com). Head to Settings → White label to set your FROM name and email address. (Note: full per-tenant verified-sender domain setup ships with the FA-Email release; today you're configuring identity, not DKIM-verified delivery.)

2. Import or create your first contacts. Add at least one contact via Contacts → New (manual entry) or Contacts → Import (CSV bulk). Without contacts, no workflow has anything to act on. Tip: a 10-row sample CSV is the fastest way to confirm everything works end to end.

3. Build or clone your first workflow. Head to Workflows → New to start from scratch in the Forge canvas, or pick one of the 10 starter templates (lead nurture, sales follow-up, reactivation, etc.). The first save creates a draft; publishing freezes the version + activates the trigger.

4. Connect your Lead Harvester extension. Generate an API key under Settings → Harvester + paste it into your Chrome extension. New leads scraped by the extension flow directly into your Apexium contacts (no manual CSV step). See harvester quickstart for the full setup.

6. Invite teammates. Bring your team in from Settings → Members → Invite. You can grant owner, admin, or member roles — see accounts + team for the role matrix.

Optional

5. Set up your custom domain. Bring your own domain like crm.acme.com for a fully white-labeled workspace URL. Optional — you can run from acme.apexium.team indefinitely. See custom domains.

Coming when other features ship

7. Connect a calendar. Will sync availability + accept bookings via your existing calendar provider. Activates when the FA-Calendar release ships.

8. Complete your billing setup. Add a payment method and confirm your tier before the trial ends. Activates when the FA-10 billing release ships. Until then, your trial runs through 14 days automatically.

The launchpad auto-clears when all required items complete; you're redirected to the dashboard, where a "Resume setup" banner stays visible until you finish.

Navigating the app

The main sidebar groups features into operational categories:

  • Pipeline — Contacts, Companies, Deals, Opportunities, Leads, Tasks
  • Channels — Workflows (Forge), Email campaigns, SMS campaigns, Forms, Pages
  • Bookings — Calendars + appointment types (activating with FA-Calendar)
  • Insights — Reporting + analytics
  • Settings — Workspace, members, white label, harvester, domains, identity providers, billing

The header carries the workspace switcher (top-left) for users in multiple workspaces, a global search, and the help menu.

Where to find help

  • Inline help in the app: every settings page has a "What does this do?" link to the relevant docs page.
  • Email support: support@apexium.team. Replies in 1 business day for trial accounts, faster for paid plans.
  • Status page: if Apexium feels slow or broken, check our incident log (rolling out with the FA-Compliance release).

When you contact support, mention your workspace slug (visible at Settings → Workspace) so we can find your account fast.

What to do next

You've got the basics. The fastest path to value:

  1. Read importing contacts and load a real list of 20-50 leads.
  2. Read building your first workflow and clone the "Lead nurture — email sequence" template.
  3. Watch one workflow fire end-to-end against a real contact to confirm everything works.

After that, expand: add a second workflow, invite a teammate, set up your harvester extension. Apexium gets more useful the more of your operational surface lives in it.
